Daura-e-Qur'an: completing the Qur'an
Reading the whole Qur'an under a teacher's care — together with the life of the Prophet ﷺ and the duas of daily life.
Daura-e-Qur'an is for students who can already read Arabic script. Under the teacher's guidance, students read the complete Qur'an from beginning to end, with every mistake heard and corrected, while also learning the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ and the duas that accompany a Muslim's day.
Who it is for
- Students who have completed Nazirah and wish to read the whole Qur'an
- Children and young people building a strong foundation in the deen
- Adults who wish to complete the Qur'an with a teacher, perhaps for the first time
What is taught
- The complete Qur'an — read in order, from Surah al-Fatihah to Surah an-Nas, with the teacher listening.
- Tajweed in practice — the rules applied throughout, so that recitation remains correct and beautiful.
- The Seerah — the life of the Prophet ﷺ, from Makkah to Madinah, taught in a way suited to each age.
- Duas — the duas of daily life — on waking, eating, travelling, sleeping and more — learned with their meanings.
- Revision — returning regularly to what has been learned, so that it stays.

How the classes are taught
Classes are live and online, in small groups of students of a similar age and level. Women and girls learn in their own separate classes. Classes are held daily, in the morning and evening, and lessons are explained in Urdu, Kashmiri, Hindi or English. Every class is taught by Mohammad Shafi Mir, and the first class is free of charge.
Questions
Which course should I begin with?
If you cannot yet read the Arabic letters, begin with Nazirah & Tajweed. If you can read and wish to complete the Qur'an with a teacher, Daura-e-Qur'an is the next step. If you read already and wish to understand what you recite, choose Qur'anic Arabic. The first class will confirm the right place to start.
Is there a set syllabus?
Yes. Each course follows a structured syllabus, from the first lesson to its final goal. The pace is set by the students, so that nothing is rushed.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Because the teacher hears your child read in every class, he knows exactly where they are. You are welcome to ask on WhatsApp at any time.
How many students are in a class?
Classes are kept small, so that every student can read aloud and be corrected in every class. Students learn alongside others of a similar age and level.
When are the classes held?
Classes are held daily, with morning and evening times, so that they can fit around school, college and work. Let us know what suits you and we will find a suitable class.
Is the first class free?
Yes. The first class is free of charge. It is a chance to meet the teacher, read together, and find the right place to begin. You can arrange it on WhatsApp or by phone.
