Deeniyat Online School offers a free first class in each of its courses — Nazirah & Tajweed, Daura-e-Qur'an and Qur'anic Arabic. In it, Mohammad Shafi Mir listens to the student read, understands where they are, and suggests where to begin.
What happens in the first class
- We ask a little about the student — their age, what they can read now, and the language and time that suit them.
- We read together — the teacher listens, gently, to understand the student's level.
- We suggest where to begin — which course, which group, and at what time.
Before the class
- A phone, tablet or computer with a steady internet connection
- A quiet place, and earphones if you have them
- A copy of the Qur'an or a Qaida, if you have one — beginners need nothing

Questions
Is the first class free?
Yes. The first class is free of charge. It is a chance to meet the teacher, read together, and find the right place to begin. You can arrange it on WhatsApp or by phone.
What is needed to join?
A phone, tablet or computer with a steady internet connection, and a quiet place to sit. Earphones help. We will send the class link before the first class.
Which course should I begin with?
If you cannot yet read the Arabic letters, begin with Nazirah & Tajweed. If you can read and wish to complete the Qur'an with a teacher, Daura-e-Qur'an is the next step. If you read already and wish to understand what you recite, choose Qur'anic Arabic. The first class will confirm the right place to start.
Which languages are the lessons taught in?
Lessons are explained in Urdu, Kashmiri, Hindi or English, so each student can learn in the language they understand best. The Qur'an itself is, of course, read in Arabic.
When are the classes held?
Classes are held daily, with morning and evening times, so that they can fit around school, college and work. Let us know what suits you and we will find a suitable class.
